Course NT-NetR Network Routing: Synergy of EIGRP, OSPF, BGP

The course is aimed at studying routing in networks based on Cisco equipment.

It will be useful for professionals seeking to gain practical skills in combining and sharing various protocols for effective network management.

Students will learn how to combine static and dynamic routes, optimize the operation of EIGRP, OSPF and BGP protocols, and configure filtering and redistribution routes. The course provides practical experience in integrating protocols to ensure a reliable and flexible network infrastructure.

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • To improve the level of knowledge on the application and operation of dynamic routing protocols in corporate and operator networks.
  • Will be prepared to work independently on planning, installation and ongoing maintenance administration corporate routed networks transmissions small and medium sized data.
  • They will be able to independently further improve their knowledge in the area of data transmission networks.

Audience Profile

The course is intended for:

  • Administrators (engineers) of corporate networks and networks operators connections.
  • Systemic administrators (for better understanding the principles of operation of network equipment).
  • Field–engineers systemic integrators involved in the implementation projects with network component .
  • Those who want to deepen their knowledge of dynamic routing.
  • Anyone planning to get CCNA/CCNP-Enterprise level certification.

Before attending this course, students must have:

  • Understanding the general principles of how routed and switched networks work (Best-Effort Delivery, MAC / IPv 4 Addressing, TCP / IP & OSI Models)
  • Basicskillsworkswith CLI Cisco switches and routers Systems
  • Proficiency in English at the level of reading technical literature and documentation without a dictionary

1. Routing Basics

  • Static routes. Setting up static routes.
  • Dynamic routing protocols.
    • Classification of protocols by operating algorithm.
    • Reacting to network topology configurations. Network convergence time.

  • Registration routes from /to OSPF protocol.
    • Route marking (tags), OSPF route filtering.
  • Diagnostic commands for troubleshooting OSPF configuration errors.

4. BGP Protocol (Border Gateway Protocol)

  • Routing between autonomous systems in the Internet. BGP protocol. Private AS.
  • BGP protocol attributes. Algorithm for finding the "best" route using BGP protocol.
  • Basic BGP settings for sessions iBGP / eBGP .
    • BGP network (prefix) announcement. BGP route table.
